I have no ambition to be a pro singer but I dream of the day I can get paid to write music! I record all of my demos myself. I also have to perform all of the instruments myself because I just can't afford elaborate demos yet. I am not the greatest Country singer but I think I do "alright". Story behind the song
I came up with the chord progression first. I spent weeks working on the melody and lyrics and came up with a sad drinking song. I wan't the listener to think that the man is cheating on his wife in the first two verses and then the mistres is revealed in the chorus. I'm most happy with the metaphore in the chorus.
