This song brings closure to its previous two pieces: "Beige and Brown" and "Silent Summer." The Silent summer trilogy is about getting over my past. While "Beige and Brown (Part One)" takes you back to where I was at my lowest point, "Silent Summer (Part Two)" Takes you to my recovery stage in where I started looking at my past with bitterness and sarcasm. "Connecting the Dots" completes the series with a total change in mood, leaving my bitterness behind. I have more important things to think about now.
I wanted this song to be short. I said everything that needed to be said in the eight lines that I had written.
