This is a gentle lament over lost love. It's quite catchy, even if it is a little sad.

Hi... I like to write and make music. What kind of music? Well, I don't really know how to tell you what kind. I write it and it comes out sounding like what it sounds like. Sometimes it's kinda jazzy, sometimes it's country-sounding, but not really. About the only way it doesn't come out is like rap or hip-hop. But that may change someday. Mostly it's artsy-fartsy, rocky, airy, relatively simple sounding stuff. I don't know what else to say, except that most of the time, I like to listen to my music.

Story behind the song
A couple of months after my divorce became final, my ex-wife gave me a box with a bunch of stuff she thought was mine in it. Amongst the assorted things were some letters and cards that she had written to me while we were dating. I was telling my friends about the box and I asked them, "Where is the woman that wrote these things to me? I don't see her anymore." My buddy replied, "I don't know where she is, but that question sounds like the title of a song." I didn't think so at the time, but two days later, the song just sort of popped out. And here it is.
Lyrics
Where is that woman? The one that used to say "I love you"? She's gone, she's not coming back Where is that woman? The one that used to stay no matter the weather? She's gone, she's not coming back Where is that woman? The one that used to wait up for me? She's gone, she's not coming back. Where is tha woman? The one that held me in her arms? She's gone, she's not coming back. All that's left of her now are the mem'ries That and the letters that tell how she used to be In her place now, there's a hardness And an emptiness that's hard to see Where is that woman? The one with the gleam in her eye? She's gone, she's gone, she's not coming back. Where is that woman? The one with the soft, gentle touch? She's gone, she's gone, she's not coming back. Where is that woman? Where is that woman? Where is that woman - now?
