Story behind the song
The signature song representing what Rites Of Passage direction was ultimately heading towards. This song would form toward Vocalist John Glymph's particular style & away from earlier songs formed around original vocalist Drew Jenkins. This also mark a full band effort between all during practice/jam sessions. The songs created after this recording were more in tune to Atomic Chuckie & more intricate in nature. Unfortunately, those tunes will remain hidden from public consumption due to the pre-mature end of the band & before any official recording of them could take place.
Lyrics
What the hell, just saw a man defy all logic Six foot ten, but playing like he was too short Never even noticed, by the ones he rejected Big black hole left for him, when they told him we don't need you anymore 10 times the man, you'll ever want to be 10 times the man, you'll ever want to see He was the sixth man, never the first one Watching the way they watch us, within the sights come undone Oh my god did you see what happen right here I got shown my own guts, then I was force to come near Wrong all along, when the system fails everyone goes with it We've been placed in a class, doesn't matter if we don't like it, we're stuck here Is there a man w/ any dignity Is there a man could teach me how to be To be respectful, just like the middle class To be like the ones who watch us, I said they watch us as we receive the shaft Now I don't really care, about the badges that you wear I got my own way to live my life, so screw all the lectures Analytical, political... critical, I got the heat of my brain to burn you Atomically correct, & I don't know any other way to be So much for the things, so much for the things I thought I never see Is there a man who could teach me how to be Is there a man with any dignity To be respectful, just like the middle class, To be like the ones who watch us, I said they watch us as we receive the shaft I don't really care, your position I'm not there Arevaderche, just like Atomic Chuckie
