The original tune that I wrote for this series of songs. It is supposed to be carefree and happy and leads the listener with the promise of lots of 'travels' to come. Thanks again for the real trumpet from Crossroads Consort!

Music... My entire life, music has been the "driving force" in everything that I've done. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6, played in bands all through high school, graduated with a degree in piano from college, and all the while learned as much as I could about the recording studio by working as a session musician and learning the art of recording. To me, music can be visualized by colors. Every sound that you hear has a particular color attached to it and likewise, so does every emotion. That's what I'm attempting to capture in my music. I want to take emotions that are a part of one's natural life and "paint" a picture into my musical landscapes. Before I write a song, I name it. That name is a "hint" as to what I was thinking of. Then the sounds that I used, the melody, the counter-melodies, rhythms, etc. are all part of the final scene. I hope you enjoy my attempts at capturing an emotion for a moment in time....

Story behind the song
Back in 1999, I had just decided to do an instrumental CD of tunes. I was well-versed with sequencers, but had never worked with computer sequencers at all, at that time. Currently, that is literally all that I use. Timeless Travels that is on this site is the results of those "early years. Since then, my productions are almost exclusively with softsynths and computer software. My studio is a 48 track facility, (and I hope to get some photographs up soon). In the meantime, I've just sat on all of these songs doing nothing with them, until now! I have a lot of friends who suggested that I at least put them out there for other people to listen to. Of course, some of these songs, like "Timeless Travels" was recorded entirely on a Korg M1 using the on-board sequencer! That should give you an idea how far back some of this stuff goes! I actually have about 9 new tunes that I'll soon be posting which I've very proud of and I am actually quite excited about them. Obviously I will appreciate any feedback and I've got to tell you that I'm amazed at how many great musicians that I've been hearing here at Soundclick.com. Congratulations to all of you and I hope you all get the recognition that you deserve! In the meantime, please don't hesitate to let me know what you think! Best to all of you...
