Philly Byrne - Lead Vocals Kevy Canavan - Lead & Rhythm Guitars Luke Grahaham - Rhythm Guitars Joe McGuigan - Bass & Backing Vox "Gama Bomb are Northern Ireland's undisputed Kings of Metal" Edwin McFee, Belfast Telegraph. "All the old school elements are perfectly in place, it sounds fuckin' great" Bruce Hall, Agent Steel "Nice guitar-riffing, Classic Thrash!!!!!!!!" Bernemann, Sodom What makes the bomb tick? Newry thrash merchants Gama Bomb are on a mission. Their game-plan is simple-decapitation by guitar. It’s been just over a year since the G-Bomb exploded onto the local music scene telling wild tales of zombies, hell truckers and skeets. In every town or city the Bomb play, they leave in their wake scores of Gama-infected victims, all ravenous for their next fix of thrash metal lunacy. You see Gama Bomb aren’t like any other band you’ve seen. While stylistically rooted in eighties metal, the G-Bomb aren’t just some sort of retro-act. With Gama Bomb you have a band who are totally aware of the ridiculousness of rock and roll. In fact, these guys revel in it. Leading the Bomb like a deranged circus ring-master is Philly Byrne. Where a live show is concerned, the singer is intent on giving the fans value for money. Philly has been known to dress as a chef, a pirate and even an unhinged scientist to the delight of Gama Guys and Gama Girls everywhere. Standing by his side are the two thrash assassins Luke Graham and Kevy Canavan whose blistering guitar work has silenced critics across the country. Throw into the mix bassist Joe McGuigan and the youthful sticksman Ronan Fitzpatrick and you have one of the most potent and deadly bands ever to take to a stage. Gama Bomb have released two demos in their short history-2003’s ‘The Survival Option’ and 2004’s ‘The Fatal Mission’ which both received wide acclaim. Gama bomb are coming soon to a town near you. Be warned-coz once you’ve been infected by the G-Bomb-there’s no going back.
