Story behind the song
A student and I were watching Leo Kottke play in a strange tuning...as near as we could tell Bb, so she started messing around with the tuning and wrote a nice chord progression.
At her lesson she began playing it and I grabbed my little Olympus digital notetaker and began listening (for a few days).
I wrote the melody, and we recorded it with her Taylor 714CE for the acoustic track (Rode NT3 mics), and I played the other two tracks using my American Strat through a Roland VG-8 straight into the MOTU setup.
All in all, a really fun project. We did play an all acoustic version of it for the gutar society we are part of.
