Not truly Jump, but a swingin', jazzy, smooth, uptempo shuffle about feelin' GOOD! Melodic guitar, laid back vocals, jazzy, "wristy" drumming, and walking bass gives this one a kinda cocktail lounge feel...

Story behind the song
Really falling for someone is one of those special gifts we're given by life once or twice (or daily for some people); and oh my, can it ever get you to doin' or sayin' things that you would call others a sap for. It's different when you're the sap; 'cos well... it's YOU! And it's HER (or HIM)! And they're SPECIAL! WAY moreso than anyone else's lover, right? Wrote this during that honeymoon period- right after we *ahem* got to know each other. hehe Paul Cummins- Guitars, Vocals Paul Cummins- Bass (Doug Dalley got a 4 minute break 'cos I wanted to play bass on this one....) Bob Buchler- Drums Music and Lyrics written, performed, produced, recorded, mixed, & promoted by Paul Cummins. Anything else that had to be done that I can't recall just now by Paul Cummins. Catering by Paul Cummins (it was burgers and fries for me and Bob that day from In-and-Out, but I still want credit in the CD booklet. That's how you build that resumé, people.) ©1999 Poodle Puppy Music
Lyrics
Dog My Fleas Well, dog my fleas, I can't believe it's true; Dog my fleas, I can't believe it's true; You feel 'bout me Just like I feel 'bout you. I'm ridin' high since I got you by my side; I'm ridin' so high since I got you by my side; I feel so fine, My soul's electrified. Folks are wondrin' just where I been, "Cos I walk 'round with this silly grin, Dog my fleas, I can't believe it's true; You feel 'bout me just like I feel 'bout you. I want the world to know to whom I do belong; I want the world to know to whom I do belong; That's the reason I wrote this little song. Well if I'm dreamin' don'tcha wake me up today; If I'm dreamin' don't wake me up today; I'd just as soon Just sleep my life away. Well dog my fleas, dog my fleas; Dog my fleas, dog my fleas; You feel 'bout me Just like I feel 'bout you.
