Story behind the song
I wrote this song as the theme song for a youth summer camp where I led worship. In their original form, the lyrics dealt primarily about teen issues - school, peer pressure, parents, etc. Seeking a broader audience appeal, I re-wrote the verses to reflect the challenges and uncertainty of hectic everyday life. Still, no matter your age, God is the only one who can bring real peace when we just get above the noise - seeking and knowing Him.
