The very first song I ever wrote music to. I have a ton, but this is the first with actual music. Love it.
rock acoustic michael music vocal john singing sodomy occular gorney
I'm just a drummer who plays guitar, man. Not much else. But I love music. 'Tis my life, you know. Enjoy some of my covers and some of my originals.
My name is Michael Gorney. I go by several different names here and there, and I thought that Occular Sodomy would be sort of funny, especially with the tagline "they never see it coming." Turns out I'm the only one amused by it, but that's all that matters, as far as I'm concerned. As for me, I'm 21, and I reside in northern New Jersey. I'm a good kid, I swear. I work for Cingular Wireless as a data support representative at the moment, but I consider myself to be a musician and poet at heart.

Story behind the song
Just had a dream one night, and when I woke up, this song popped into my head. It's about my ex-girlfriend, Nykki. Well, you know how it goes. Girl you think loves you runs off to marry an abusive ex, then doesn't, and leads you to believe that she's yours again, only to drop you once something better comes along. Welcome to my world.
Lyrics
[Verse 1]: I miss you like we'll never meet again Not on the terms that we first met upon Broke out in a cold sweat, cried awake The feelings of your love are so long gone [Verse 2]: Another empty pack of cigarettes Smoking off the stress of yesteryear I cough and cry in sorrow and regret With every single sentimental tear [Chorus]: Well, I know it's wrong to want what I can't have A hazy trip down mem'ry lane; woke up in the pouring rain If I only knew how to heal what went bad Balanced on a razor's edge; peaking in around the hedge And it all was fun, but when all is said and done I wish I did a little better; gotten my feet wetter [Verse 3]: A ticking timepiece hangs upon the wall Staring, in a mocking sort of way I try so hard to see you, but it's all To me, of no avail day by day [Chorus] One more time... [Bridge]: Sing a solitary song of discontinuation I know that I do not know what to say or what to think I misconstrued and got confused with my self-indignation Tossed about my own reality [Chorus x2]
