Story behind the song
This one began as a rhythm track by You and Me (Dan Bartlett: drum machine and synth arpeggiator programming and electric drums, RD: sampler and Echoplex) which I brought to Ashland for The Dunlaps' 1987 session. We overdubbed that track with Frank on electric guitar and me on synth, sampler and Echoplex. In 1992 I added digital instruments to the mix: bass, organ, a less easily described sound something like steel guitar/bowed saw/voice, and a stray cymbal hit that was an accident but worked. In 2004 I split the track into 2 parts, made a few small edits and did some remastering.
