This is a song about the feelings of nervousness I was having when I was starting to rap. I would say this has powerful lyrics and it has a great beat behind it.

A powerful, and bold rapper from Missouri. with catchy lyrics, strong beats, and a solid message, Versifyer is sure to amaze you.
Definition: Versifyer - A writer who composes verses or rhymes. Versifyer (Jerry B. Hall II) was born in Kansas City Missouri in 1988. Raised in a small metro town he quickly learned that he did not “fit in”. Bullied, teased and humiliated, he decided to stick his thoughts to paper and let them out that way...after all, paper doesn't judge. Thoughts turned to poems, poems to songs, songs to rap...this was the beginning of the revolution. Versifyer started pouring everything about himself into a genre he knew nothing of. Raised on rock n' roll he was out-casted by even certain family members and friends. “Changed Ways” was written by Versifyer in 2002, and released in 2003 featuring vocals by himself and S.4.C, and mentoring from Lyrycyst. The track was underdeveloped and raw, however it showcased a premature talent, and an astounding heart. 500 copies were distributed before the track was rerecorded and remastered in 2005. Along the way were tracks such as “My Genesis”, “Destiny”, “Refocused”, “Ready or Not” and many others. Soon word escalated of the artist and he was enveloped in the underground scene of Kansas City, where pressure and pain turned him against the industry. Years later this one of a kind artist is a true poet and an awe striking musician, well known for his flawless complex rhyme scheme, and tongue twisting speed rap. He boldly declares his beliefs and passions through his music, lifting up and also offending many listeners, with one purpose: to rebuild the industry the way it was meant to be built, with diversity and love! Versifyer has worked with artists such as: Lyrycyst, M1ssundastood, Lyrikal Assassin, S.4.C, Camouflage, DJ Ryan Goode and Mythykah. And shared the stage with many more such as: The Body and the Blood, Top Spin and Die to Yourself. Versifyer is also the award winner of "best rapper in the state" in a compitition held by AOG.

Story behind the song
When I was starting to perform I was really nervous and overwhelmed. I knew I had to keep goin I had to rap. The industry is losing faith but I am gaining faith.
Lyrics
Stage Fright I don’t talk about the rap I don’t know where this road will go It’s going way to fast for comfort but I can’t take it slow As the industry is falling all of my words begin to grow Now people really hear me every word and every note I got a little bit of pressure and my shoulders are breaking I knew that it would happen but my body starts shaking It’s overwhelming having responsibility I’m taking I have to turn my life around because they trust what I’m saying Just a little confusion as this is going through my head Jump the game earn the fame and I’m bound to rap to death I take the music and I use it to get my feelings out As the crowd shouts my name the words taking all my breath At this point in my life I don’t know where to go next I’m tripping over my mistakes and I don’t know what to do So I get up to the stage and put my mouth to the mic I open up my mouth and tell you what I know as truth I talk about my life and the struggles I have I talk about My God and what he calls me to do I talk about the things that have happened in my past I talk about my fans I even talk about you I don’t tell you how hard it is to stay on the track All the things that go wrong in life keep bringing me back To the person I was before I stepped in the light Before I grabbed the mic and turned to make the music right I don’t talk about the rap I don’t know where this road will go It’s going way to fast for comfort but I can’t take it slow As the industry is falling all of my words begin to grow Now people really hear me every word and every note I got a little bit of pressure and my shoulders are breaking I knew that it would happen but my body starts shaking It’s overwhelming having this responsibility I’m taking I have to turn my life around because they trust what I’m saying I guess I’ve learned a lesson to be patient and wait Cause when I wanted to rap I really didn’t understand That every word I that I said would only make them want more In every dream come true you have to take the good with the bad The reaction was a shock when people actually liked it When I rapped and they clapped it wasn’t expected But now I really thank them and I’m glad that I made it But I still feel all the pressure when everything gets hectic I know what's gonna happen and I know it’s coming soon I’ll either win or I’ll lose and now I have to prepare Because it looks like I’m winning the stress is building up And I have to admit I’m really getting scared I wasn’t cut to be famous this is not what I chose I didn’t want the attention but I don’t have a choice Some of it’s good and I’m starting to like it But now I have to live to what you hear in my voice I don’t talk about the rap I don’t know where this road will go It’s going way to fast for comfort but I can’t take it slow As the industry is falling all of my words begin to grow Now people really hear me every word and every note I got a little bit of pressure and my shoulders are breaking I knew that it would happen but my body starts shaking It’s overwhelming having responsibility I’m taking I have to turn my life around because they trust what I’m saying The spot light is on me and its glaring in my eyes I know I can’t freeze so I listen to the beat I pace out my timing and I listen to the crowd When the hands get to clapping I get back on my feet I come across with confidence faith in a sense But it isn’t from the crowd I feel a higher power This is my chance I can’t blow it I know it As much as I deny it I know this is my hour Of judgment from the people so I'm gonna do my best Maybe they will see that and they will let me pass this test Maybe they will hate me and they will let me get some rest Either way is good and bad so I consider this blessed So as I await the verdict I start to feel the tension The crowd is growing bigger I see the people come to listen The song is almost over I fear what happens at the
