Brian Cameron Taylor is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter from Vernon BC Canada. He writes original pop/rock songs with an emphasis on melody and mood to create an ageless appeal. He performs them with a personal, unique style and interesting instrumentation. He is currently working under the psuedonym thief. thief (as a whole) is more alternative than the solo efforts of Brian Taylor and includes the melodic vocal talents of Dawn Cunningham. soundclick.com/briantaylor is the only place to find all the material recorded by both thief and Brian Taylor. Story behind the song
I wanted to write a song similar to "Fame" by David Bowie. It's lyric is about the fast pace of change in our modern world.
Lyrics
Change, it's coming at you in waves I know you're wanting bad to be yourself I know it's hard to eplain Change, it's been a curse on your brain I know you want to let the pressure off I see you suffer some strain You see it coming in the blink of an eye You may not notice as it passes you by So you hold on, same as you always will You've been smelling all the smoke on the hill That fire's dying but your chasing it still When you're left behind you won't even wonder why Change will remain always the same.
