Story behind the song
ricky had the lyrics written for a long time. it is very loosely based on "the great gatsby". he recorded it in one take 5 minutes before he was supposed to go to the warped tour

.jason gatsby takes the fall. she says, "now come on, did you really expect for me to play along again? there's just no way i can take this much longer, and i'm sick of 'hanging out with friends' ". last time i checked, you never were one to be touched. now i can't really blame you, everybody needs time away from time to time. but growing this far apart from such a good thing? she will pick up where he left off, he will forget her name tomorrow. she sleeps in, afraid to wake up, she knows he is gone by morning. now she sits alone, shivering on an empty playground device. she knows she don't belong here, yeah, but then again neither do i. haleigh, would you come true for me someday? your tears, they spill like summer, yet they never seem to flow. haleigh, silence never solved a thing.
