Three is indeed the magic number. Longevity in the music business requires nearly supernatural staying power and the talented trio known as Triple Ave has demonstrated that they have what it takes to survive and thrive. The lineup consists of rapper/producer Hypno, rapper Louie da’ Saint, and rapper/songstress Gypsyluv. As former members of the Hip Hop band the Subterraneanz, they have performed throughout the Bay Area, released two critically acclaimed underground albums, and built a following as diverse and energetic as the music itself. Now, the group is launching its first EP, entitled, aptly enough, Ambitions. The album is an innovative fusion of regional styles. Hypno’s smooth lyrics and unique production were formed in the hardcore, urban Northeast (Boston). Louie da’ Saint’s infectious Midwest (St. Louis) twang is unmistakable. Gypsyluv rounds out the effort with her easygoing yet soulful Northern California vibe. True life experience, original production and pure heart promise to make Ambitions one of this year’s best independent releases. The immediate ambition of Triple Ave is to secure a record and/or distribution deal with a major/indie record label.

Story behind the song
Wanna. This jam was mostly Hypno The Producer and what was going on at the time. He wrote the first verse inspired by His own life situation, good and bad relations alike: (kisses to the Mami helpin’ me wind down) He realized there was a rhythmic pattern in His flow so He matched it up to a track That he had already done. He re-did the drums to match my flow and the harp line (which He played on a real pixy harp.) There is a consistant rhythm throughout the song (in the hook as well) based on the harp and drum track. He wrote the second verse off the track. The song pretty much built itself. Gypsy laced the vocals real lovely like and wrote the last 8 line singing verse. He feels this joint is infectious, because people get pulled in by the catchiness.
