This song will take you back into nostalgic rock 'n' roll through my Juke box mind. Sung in a capella.
I'm an acapella singer
Hello, I am a lyricist who enjoys singing. I sing in acapella. I live in Wisconsin. I am looking for someone to collaborate my music with. Anybody who may be interested can contact me via my e-mail address.
Story behind the song
In todays world, I thought it would be nice to rock 'n' roll back in time. Remembering Ritchie Valen, Hellooo babys' Big Bopper, to the day Ricky Nelson got booed while playing at the Rock 'n' Roll revival that took place at Madison Square Gardens, which by the way, is what led to Ricky writing and singing his hit song "GARDEN PARTY". This is a journey taken through my juke box mind.
Lyrics
ROCK N ROLL MEM'RIES
©2004 DAVID Z. MORONEZ
(chorus Intro)
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
Spins in my head
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
They're not really dead
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
Aren't lost in time
I can still hear old rock'n music
Play'n in my mind
(V1)
Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper
Fats Domino all rock 'n' roll makers
Live on even though they're gone
My jukebox mind plays their songs
(Build)
La Bamba, Chantilly Lace
The Twist shakin in place
Bill Haley I always find
Rocks around the clock so fine
(Chorus)
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
Spins in my head
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
They're not really dead
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
Aren't lost in time
I can still hear old rock'n music
Play'n in my mind
(V2)
Bo Diddley, Bobby Rydel
Chuck Berry ringing the bells
Met at the Garden for pleasure
Along with many old rockers
(Bridge)
People came from all around
To listen to rock 'n' roll sounds
But when Ricky came through
He didn't sing Hello Mary Lou
His new songs got booed
Walked off the stage feeling blue
(Build)
Limbo rock, locomotion
Dances all set in motion
Mashed potatas hit the floor
Monster mash and so much more
(Chorus)
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
Spins in my head
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
They're not really dead
Rock 'n' roll mem'ries
Aren't lost in time
I can still hear old rock'n music
Play'n in my mind
Outtro
Johnny B Goode, Devil with the Blue dress...
Rock 'n' roll an era at its best
They'll always find their way through time
I can still hear them play in my mind
