A tribute to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Solid soulful singer/songwriter music at it's earthy core. Traveling highway, coming of age, timeless music.
Michael Frieman is a native of Wisconsin now residing in Los Angeles California. He lived in New York City for a good long while and decided a beach atmosphere was much needed. Oceans....neat.

Story behind the song
This song wrote itself while I was spending some time in Santa Fe, New Mexico rehearsing a play. The name of the song "Tsankawi" is the name of an old Native American ruine, where you can hike and see all the old carvings in the caves and on walls.
Lyrics
I couldn't get much closer to the clouds today Well I just arrived last week in Santa Fe. Such a warm wind blowing through my hair each day and the smile on my face won't seem to fade away there's troubled times back home but that aint where I roam, in the... (Chorus) Sunshine, oh where you go I'm following Sunshine, every step I take is a place I've never been Sunshine oh help me now to dry my sins sunshine, warming up the outside while i look in I just saw a prarie dog heading for his hole it must be cool underneath the ground where he makes his home I'm in god's country now, enrich my soul leaving New York City far behind with the freezing cold, yeah but there's troubled times back home but that aint where i roam in the (chorus) ...inside myself for something more than just booze and stale folklore Native caves and writing on the stone tells me people long before me made their home I'll make it home I'll make it home in the...(Chorus) (repeat beggining of first verse)
