This song is about meeting someone for the first time, and feeling a connection as if you knew them from another lifetime.
boogie cubicle blues another lifetime
I play just aabout everything including: classical, rock, blues, GB, jazz, country, pop, folk. Its all good.
I have been playing keyboards of one sort or another since the age of seven, when I fell in love with the girl next door. Since she was taking piano lessons, I though it might be romantic to learn piano too so that we could play duets together. The "romance" didn't last and I got stuck with the piano lessons. Eventually I came to love playing the piano and moved on to various electronic instruments. I really get a lot of enjoyment out of making music, performing, composing, and playing with friends (like Open Road http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pageartist.cfm?bandID=158427) I also appreciate feedback on my songs both good and bad as long as it is constructive.

Story behind the song
I wanted to explore the idea of reincarnation after meeting someone and feeling a strong connection with them. Have we lived before, have we shared lives together as brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers etc...?
Lyrics
Another Lifetime © Copyright 2001 by Mark Hastings The first time that I saw you, I knew I’d found a friend. I don’t know just how I could know, I’d found a love that had no end We shared a life together or was it hundreds more? And recognizing your soul, makes me feel whole, and makes my heart leap and soar. Another Lifetime, surely I knew you. Another lifetime, the love between us grew And it fills me with wonder when I stop and think what all of this is all about. For surely I knew you, in another lifetime. As soul goes on its journey, the wheel turns once again. I wonder at where I’m going, and ponder where I’ve been. We’ve walked this path together, your love and guidance eased the way. And as I go, I feel myself grow in spirit every day. Sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, friends and lovers Sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, friends and lovers Another lifetime, surely I knew you. Another lifetime, the love between us grew. And it seems that I could talk to you all night and watch the white doves fly in the dawning light For surely I knew you, in another lifetime.
