Lyrics
Little Billy Steel cried, on the night his momma died
In a plane crash, so many years ago
Billy's father couldn't cope with the life he had
so he took a rope
and hung himself in the basement by the stairs
Now little Billy was all alone, he tried to make it on his own
but he never could quite figure out
what it was he had to do, so he joined up with a crew
and ended up in a county prison cell
When Billy was a little boy, he never had a toy
quite like the one that he had now
It used to make him laugh and smile when he went
outside a while, and stuffed the neighbors cat into a box
Billy Steel was never real, he lived inside his head
he lurked around in neverland and undeneath his bed
He cried himself to sleep at night and no one heard him say,
Mommy, Mommy I need you, please don't go away
Little Billy snapped one day, took a gun and walked away
down to the local shopping mall
He pulled it out and looked around, fired a shot into the ground
then he pointed it towards a little child
He looked into the child's eyes and only saw his fathers lies
So he turned the gun upon himself
Billy Steel was never real, he lived inside his head
He finally saw it for himself that Billy Steel was dead
He never cried again at night and no one heard him say
Goodbye, goodbye Mommy, Billy Steel has gone away
