It took four years of groundwork and side projects for producer/emcee Seven-One and emcee Louie Dollars to concentrate their knowhow to form the Hiphop duo KRIONIX. The result became the 2002 self-released, self-titled debut album, KRIONIX, forcing the underground music world to take further notice of San Antonio, Texas. Influenced and enamored by the classic rap music of years past, KRIONIX picks up where Hiphop's legends have left off, paying homage to Hiphop's responsibility to the party with the single "Turn Ya Funktion Out." And for those who think that a party is as far as the love for music extends, "Dedikated" calls to mind the discipline and creative process necessary for quality audio. In 2003, with the help of the South Texas Hiphop Collective Prhymemates Inc., KRIONIX enjoyed their first guest appearance on Sound Defects' LP Volume 2 (Third Earth Music). KRIONIX has exposed San Antonio and South Texas to Hiphop music that has remained true to the original art forms of the B-Generation: Breakdancing, Graffiti Art, DJing, and Emceeing. With that reputation, KRIONIX has opened shows for internationally recognized acts such as Craig G, Triple Threat DJs, and California's Shapeshifters. In that same vein of excellence, the KRIONIX video for "Turn Ya Funktion Out" features artwork from some of San Antonio's most-recognized and most-respected graffiti artists. Their current plans involve production and distribution of their sophomore LP Boom Box Buffet, collaborations with other recording artists, and embarking on a US Tour. Lyrics
Retain our placement/ underground like ya basemeant/ So its rare we see some spin from these non college stations/ Absorb my word, graduate and flip ya tassle/ As I shock an audience like my name was William Castle/ Bite and get frost bit, like nights in syberia/ Spray Hiphop antiseptic on fraudulent bacteria/ Its not the disease that kills and terminates/ But the lack to find a cure, and then retaliate/ When time is of the essence, count ya blessings or slip/ Fall short and get clipped/ cant spare a sec for bullshit/ Infecting our culture with commercialized cancer/ Publicizing private dancers/ glorifying wrong answers/ Sell out for currency, that motives stereo typical/ Couldnt flip a dope rhyme if they had its recipricle/ The next moves predictable/ nine times out of ten/ Use my constrictive train of thought to squeeze a rhyme out a pen/ Refrain from average, avoid irrelevance/ Everyday issue praise to the four elements/ Expanding ventures, Hiphop be globalizing/ Still artistik outbursts be viewed as vandalizing/ We sparked it, we hit it/ suckas got shited/ The impossable is possible, Son we just did it/ Guaranteed rotation on ya Hiphop hour/ Art created from fragments just like the Watts towers/ I poped the weasel/ mastered peace without the easel/ To maintain mad pull like super duty turbo diesels/ While stagnant emcees daydream of pullin cards/ I rise and watch the sunset on b-boy boulevard/ Thats why my vocal tones prone to leave a hot spot blown/ As I transfer energy from mind to micraphone/ I use extrean measures to get extreame results/ And if your over eight-teen I wish you'd act like an adult/ Refrain from average, avoid irrelevance/ Everyday issue praise to the four elements/ Expanding ventures, Hiphop be globalizing/ Still artistik outbursts be viewed as vandalizing/
