a protest song
just your average white girl from suburbia, with a haunting voice and soulful lyrics. Accoustic rock with folk/punk/blues undertones
As seen in random living rooms across the USA, I am Sarah Elizabeth Paige Bailey; happy and proud to be a member of your music library! I have been singing and writing songs since I was 8 years old, these are just a few selections I happen to have recorded. All the work is completely original (except Amazing Grace, obviously) as well as all the instrumentation and vocalization.

Story behind the song
With the anniversary of the collaspe of the World Trade Center in New York City, and the milestone of over 1000 Americans dead in Iraq, it seemed like a good time to record and post this song. It was written on the eve of George W Bush, under false pretenses, declaring war on Iraq in March 2003, and it is a simple cry from my heart. As you listen, raise your glass with me in a toast that one day we will look at the rest of the world as our neighbors, as our brothers and sisters; and not as that which is ours to conquer. Only then will there be any hope for future generations.
