Lyrics
A wall of flame rising from His city had torn the faces of the true at heart. What night would bring was unknown, yet as the firelight had shown the fiction hung in ribbons about their battered knees. Too true to here and now, the cries of children ripped by fire from empire overrode all sense of salvation or belief. The few who fought to shred the night, to find relief stood stranded, becalmed, locked in lockstep by war and psalm. At last, held fast, the town fool placed his head atop the mountain to let his open mouth bleed down the words of so many shattered tablets that lay about the landscape. The true would rather die than see his gaping thoughtless eyes, for with open minds they would lose the dream in the shadow of its broken, rattling generator.
