Story behind the song
Well, I first wrote a song called "Meadows in the Sun", which is the main melody here! Then I added the first and last part and made it all instrumental! I thought about standing on a mountain looking out at the ocean, and that's where the title came from! I remembered the words "The Vast Expanse" from Jane Siberry's song "Mimi on the Beach"! Later the "Meadows..." - tune has become the musical background for "Voice Across the Sea" - a song with lyrics and vocal melody by Melanie Fudge! Another version (instrumental) called "Meadows in the Sun" and "Voice Across the Sea" featuring Melanie on vocals exists here on Soundclick!
