Remus Glaude grew up in the musically rich neighborhoods of Berkeley, California. He collaborated with David Murray while they were both members of the Notations of Soul. He lived less that a block from Dewey & Josua Redmond. As he remembers "if you weren't playing it right the whole neighborhood would let you know, so I learned not to BS anyone else and so I didn't BS myself".
