Later I found great delight collaborating with selected songwriters and artists, and involved in all facets of the music industry. Story behind the song
Song and script writing have always been my inspiration. B I O Candie Gibson Lemaire Candie is a former 3rd grade Virginia schoolteacher, having taught at both in Virginia and North Carolina. She enjoys writing songs and has written commercial releases, ad jingles, and also penned a melody for a community event, The Miss Springfield Pageant, an event held annually at Springfield Mall, Springfield, VA during "Springfield Days". She especially enjoys writing stirring patriotic melodies and her song, "Here's To Virginia"Ó was a finalist in the Virginia State Song Competition. She's all over country.. with over 20+ published country music songs, handled by Wuttzi Tuttzil Music, BMI (publisher - Harry Eckert). Her song, "Mighty Oak"Ó a great country female ballad, was released by UK artist, J.W. Houston, on her breakout CD "Sidewinder". Besides teaching, she's worked on Capitol Hill, for an all-news cable TV station, and for Delta Air Lines, and enjoys writing scripts at present, both for features and TV. Candie has a Master of Education degree, and lives with husband, Rick in Newport News, VA, along with beagle, "T-Bone". She's written numerous children's poems and stories, with her most recent publication in HOPSCOTCH Magazine...a children's poem, "RAIN-GER BEAGLE". Her children's song, "My Back Yard", was published by Piano Press, Inc. in 2002.
