The 'drums' on this song came from a tune I originally made on the Buchla modular synthesizer at the University of Chicago's electronic music lab in the early 1980s....

Story behind the song
If you've been reading the lyrics, you've guessed by now that I'm living deep in the French countryside, in an old farmhouse....ah life!
Lyrics
Down the tractor track between the paddock back behind the ruined barn and last century’s lindens we were wondering, watching the wind blowing the spring grasses, bluebottles, buttercups and nettles and nestling in the branches groaning with nesting thrushes, new leaves and old owls and roaming the valley with the sounds of hounds and birdshot, and we were watching, wondering as if in the presence of not quite the wind not quite these things but the movement between as if movement is a living being and being then this too must have a name. And so we watch and wonder on the names of things.
