Story behind the song
This is a follow-up to "The Freshman 2002"- I'm trying to show people that I haven't been stopped by the incident which nearly ended my college career- it's only made me stronger- and my songs and rhymes are only gonna get better!
Lyrics
As much as you think my personality’s changed it hasn’t I’m still the same old crazy white guy Looks like I lost my temper, but I never had it I don’t need drugs, I always appear high In comparison to most people I act delirious And not even college could make me more serious I’m still on top of my game, being nothing but me And thus is the next chapter in my legacy I blow up and let everyone know when people are boring Nearly everyone in my neighborhood knows my story Of course there’s many people who have dissed on me But they can’t figure me out, I’m still the mystery I’m already a college legend, you can’t compete with that I got versatility, I can wear many hats What I go through to fit in with you, you don’t understand But when all is said and done, who’s the man? Chorus (Repeat 2x) You, u think u had me fooled, but I always break the rules. You are never gonna get the best of me, cause I am not that type of guy who has always gotta lie. Im'a keep doing my thing until the day that I die! I make people have seizures of laughter for no reason And it doesn’t really matter the season I just try to be the coolest man in existence If you write me hate mail, you better keep your distance Do I make sense? No, and I haven’t made any dollars I’m so illogical sometimes, but you guys still gotta holla When you see me, cause you can’t be me, you’re so intrigued Hear SHRM4 on the radio, and then I’m envied I can’t fathom how many fans I’m gonna get But people are mad at me cause I put shit on the Internet I gotta watch myself, I always shock myself When I’m in trouble ain’t no one there to get me help I can’t use my arrest to make my life living hell I’ve just kept writing, moving forward, rapping all so well Sometimes I think I know what I’m doing but I really don’t But if people try to get the best of me it’s likely they won’t Chorus When my parents sent me off alone they played with fire If they see the monster that I’ve made, it’d make them retire Yall always tell me that I need to calm down. I got in trouble already, but you still love my sound Police can’t stop me, neither can authority Most of you up-tight dudes are boring me I never got As and I’m prolly never going to But I got notoriety, all kinds of people knowing you How far am I gonna take this I just don’t know Im aware I can get kicked out of school with one blow I hate you little rappers who claim of the game you’re ahead You’ll all get your ass whupped by one who’s already dead Me and Kadavir head a new wave of rap I can’t find anybody who would compete with that I thought when I was arrested I wouldn’t be here no longer But it couldn’t take my freedom, it just made me stronger Chorus fade
