He also played all instruments and vocals on all songs, except on the album (produced by the African American producer Forrest Thomas) and on the Dutch song 'Doe Maar Multicultureel'. In these songs, Doc Jazz collaborated with prominent professionals from the Dutch jazz and fusion scene. His music can be found in a wide variety of styles ranging from piano ballads to funky music with a groove and with a taste of Doc Jazz's characteristic rock guitar solos (and on 'Front Door Key' the mesmerizing saxophone solos of Susanne Alt) - in three languages:. A Palestinian short shepherd's flute called the is also often featured in the songs. One last note: don't assume the music of Doc Jazz is only political! If you scroll through the vast collection of songs, you will find many songs about other subjects of love, and of life!

Lyrics
War Takes its toll Everyday Wasting thousands of lives Fear Drains the soul Of its fire Making emptiness thrive Love Brings together what was torn apart Bringing peace and joy into the heart Making everything right Love Is the reason why we make the change All that's shuffled can be rearranged And brought from the darkness to the light We're gonna have to make a change And chase the darkness from the land Its time for us to rearrange And take our fates in our own hands All the poisoned minds can be washed clear We've got to let them see the light It's time to cure their morbid fear So we can end this dreadful night With love, love, love We can win this troubled fight Pain Is the hurt Of a child When it cries for its mother Hate Makes a man Lose his faith And turn on his brother
