Story behind the song
Originally written in 2000, It's about my first real love and being forty miles away from her. Obviously I thought that she was 'the one'. Apparently, I was way off because she's now married to someone else. But I still like the song. It features Martin Geppert on lead guitar.
Lyrics
Intro: It drives me crazy when you’re away Forty miles away From a perfect sunny day I’m trapped in my cage; A bitter, lonely place, But what can I do with myself Without you. Chorus: ‘Cause you’re the one I’ve been paying for my whole life She comes to me like an angel; I’m living in my dreams. I was searching for a fountain, And crashed into your seas. Chorus I want to hold you so close right now, It’s burning up my arms. But you’re so far away right now, It’s tearing out my heart. Intro Chorus
