There was weakness in my knee's... When we bent down to get her things. Felt a tingle down my spine... As her hand drew close to mine. (vs2) The wonder found in those blue eyes... Held my gaze mesmerized. Ruby lips whispered thank you... Whispered back dinner for two? She wrote her number in my palm... I shivered below my calm Sapphire stare had me dazed... Her smile played as she turned away. (ch) I still taste her kisses... Burned in my memory. Swore that she'd be there everyday. I still feel the fingers... That once were laced thru mine, Slide from my grasp before she turned away. (vs4) Bumped into her on 4th and main... Though I've moved on mem'ries remain. The band of gold that I wear now... Tells the story of spoken vows. Now her eyes lead me to when... I had hoped she would have been. The one to say her vows that day... And promise she'd never turn away.
