So, I met this charming (and, very funny) redhead back in '85... and we became close.
A few months after meeting her, I bought my 1st keyboard with all these interesting sounds.
Hardly knowing anything about pianos, or music for that matter... I attempted to create my 1st song using that keyboard.
All I could come up with were these chord stabs, along with this stuttering bassline... which developed into a "verse & chorus" part that I repeated 3x's as the basic song idea.
However, NO words came.
One evening while we were sitting around, I asked her if she wanted to hear an idea that I was working on. - And, despite my shyness... I played the song for her.
She liked it, and asked if I were going to complete it? - I said, sure... if I can come up with some additional ideas to go with it.
To be honest this song has laid dormant for forty years, until now.
She was the "first" person that I ever shared it with. - Now, I’m sharing the completed version with the world (in her memory).
