Eclectic, but mostly acoustic. Mostly moody, guitar-driven, alternative pop-rock
Let's face it folks. I'm not going to be updating this much. My primary focus right now is my band Djatmaterra, and I won't be recording much new for my own site. However, you can find our songs at and These sources will likely be updated quite a bit more often. Thanks for listening! --- I'll try to keep the mix of tracks on here eclectic. I've dabbled in a bunch of different styles over the years, and i think my songwriting reflects that. So here are a bunch of tracks written and recorded at various times in my music carreer. Enjoy.

Story behind the song
The lyrics from this song are a poem i wrote for my mom's 52nd birthday (hence the name), which my sister put in a homemade card for her. When I was little we had a baby grand piano in the living room which she would play a lot, and I'll always remember the songs she played often. She was a fantastic pianist once upon a time, and her birthday gift involved a push to get her to play more. I figured the poem would provide additional incentive. That night, I felt the need to write a song around it. The music is loosely inspired by the Jethro Tull song "Cheap Day Return". It's also under 2 minutes and has a very similar structure, although the chord progressions are very different.
Lyrics
the music of my youth i will always remember the soothing sounds won't lose their hold on me ever and everytime i here a clumsy counterfeit i always think of you singing with the grand
