Story behind the song
This song was composed on 7/22/2025. After composing a song yesterday, where I saw myself being convicted by the message to the church in Sardis, I decided it would be good for me to place myself in the other six churches who received letters praise and/or rebuke from Christ. I thought it would help me better understand the exhortations Christ was giving which are still relevant today.

I am a resident of Ephesus. I seem to have lost my first love.
Though patient, hard-working, I know I must repent and seek God above
It hurts for You to walk in the midst of the church, when You see the evil that is there.
I must amend my ways, walk with You, putting You first, to look upon my sin is hard to bear.
