Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A very different style of music for me with this one. I started out by deleting all the stored drum beats on my ancient Zoom RT-123 drum machine, to force myself to start from a sort of 'ground zero'. This is a slow, drifting piece with layers of simple chords treated with a long echo (70bpm = 587 ms) and reverb. I've used an old 70s recording trick of panning just the reverb sound of certain guitars hard left and hard right. A subtle but quite effective way of building up a wider sound. The stereo field is wide to give the illusion of a large open space. The only 'vocals' are, "Oh me, oh my, how times goes by".
Lyrics
Oh me, oh my ... how time goes by. Oh me, oh my ... how time goes by.

This is very nice. Very nice indeed. I can easily hear a whole song in this. With my head, oh, it's like that. Very nicely done!

guitar style/playing excellent - reminded of George Harrison throughout listening to this - really like the production and mix you've done and it's early 70's feel (cool use of the vocal refrain) and ending is brilliant!

An excellent venture into the ambient genre with this great chilled out track! I love the dreamy, reflective vibe. Great guitar & keys, & I like the vocal interjections...so true, time does go by, I often wonder where the last few years have gone. Excellent song!
