To celebrate his 65th birthday this July, Cristin has just released his new single A Road Full of Miles a powerful autobiographical song inspired by a life lived between East and West, struggle and rebirth. Lyrics
A lot of years piling high and wide Carved in the wrinkles the rivers collide East to West where the shadows play Enemy and ally in the same day Hard roads beaten beneath my soles Fingers bled on strings full of goals I sparked fires they couldn't contain Dancing through the chaos and the pain Happy birthday to the scars I wear To the storms I braved the burdens I bear Life was a battle life was a song Sang it loud and lived it long Revolutions whispered in my ear Truth and fury both burned clear Raised my voice against the tide Only to find myself inside Rocks and riots built my stage I fought with words I fought with rage The East was cold the West was blind But I saw beauty in every grind Happy birthday to the scars I wear To the storms I braved the burdens I bear Life was a battle life was a song Sang it loud and lived it long Rocks and riots built my stage I fought with words I fought with rage The East was cold the West was blind But I saw beauty in every grind Happy birthday to the scars I wear To the storms I braved the burdens I bear Life was a battle life was a song Sang it loud and lived it long
