This is about how a person's actions can be blamed on everyone else but the person who actually did it.

Story behind the song
I really don't know how I started writing this song. Lots of families have been blamed for wrongdoings of their relatives, and sometimes, it really isn't their fault. Although, it can be argued that they COULD have done something to prevent any tragedies, IF they knew something was up.
I've always wanted to use the line "Good wombs have borne bad sons." It's from Shakespear's play, The Tempest, so I got to use the line, but replaced 'sons' with 'children'.
I remember how some of the school shootings were blamed on video games, television, and music, in particular, marilyn manson. Millions of people play gory video games, watch ultra violent tv shows, but not all of us decide to shoot people up. I think this song is pretty contradicting because there are so many arguments that can spawn from it. Though, my beliefs are that a person is a person due to their nature and how they were nutured. Sorry, I'm confusing.
Lyrics
It's not because my mommy didn't hug me
It's not because my daddy didn't love me
I was just born this way
Please don't blame american television
don't point the finger at marilyn manson
I was just born this way
I have my own mind
no one fed me subliminal messages
or forced me into their cult
I act upon my own free will
Now I sit in jail they think i've lost
innocent children sacrificed for my cause
I was just born this way
These are my thoughts no madman influenced me
Don't blame my family they deserve no abuse
I was just born this way
I have my own mind
no one fed me subliminal messages
or forced me into their cult
I act upon my own free will
Good wombs have borne bad children...
I have my own mind
no one fed me subliminal messages
or forced me into their cult
I act upon my own free will
