Story behind the song
This is my first solo EP album "...in scepec rim" (in english the title means "...and fistful of rhymes"). Iz has 7 tracks including intro & outro, which are also tracks by themselves, only shorter. There are no skits. This was a few months of work (not counting writing the lyrics of course, which were all written in the past 5 years before recording this. I started writing lyrics in 1998. Album was released to slovenian underground hiphop scene in april 2003, sold via internet and on live performances directly from the backpack for like 2-3$ :) Everything on it is 100% written, performed and produced by myself, I even made the album cover ;) I have to admit it was *a lot* of fun making this CD! Tracklisting: 1. Intro (Beam me up) 2. Who's tha man? 3. Zivis samo enkrat 4. Tokokrog 5. Storija 6. Hardcore on the street 7. Plima besed (outro) All lyrics except first part of the Intro are in my native language, which is slovenian. There are various english words phrases or even parts of the tracks (gotta know where hiphop is coming from!), but that's it. Beats are 100% played and recorded to midi data/sequenced, no sampling at all. Well, o course there are samples of separate drums and instruments from various soundbanks in it, but those are sounds, not samples - nothing is "ripped" or recorded from the vinyl. I do use sampling on many other beats, but it was my artistic decision to make this one 100% non-sampled album. I hope you'll like listening to this tracks as much as I liked making them :) Enjoy!
