Story behind the song
The original version was written, composed, and recorded in 2004 at my primitive home studio for a group project called "Strike Team". (Group name taken from 'The Shield'. IYKYK)
After accidentally time travelling 20 years into the future and becoming stranded there with no hope of returning home, I revisited the recordings we made there as a means to retain my sanity.
I found that my unintended and seemingly instantaneous transportation to the future had at least one beneficial side effect - I had become a much better musician and producer, seemingly instantly.
So I set to work here in this inescapable trap of a future, recreating the works I made in the past; modifying, improving, correcting, un-fucking. Coming ever closer to achieving now the vision I was unable to fulfill in the past.
This track was the first of what became many. More will be revealed imminently.
