Pontins Prestatyn Sands 1979

A small Musical Archive of those who worked Pontins Prestatyn Sands 1977-79 either as Musicians or Musical Entertainers. Contributions Welcome.

For anyone not knowing about PONTINS, - it was a hugely successful Holiday Company owned by Sir Fred Pontin. Holiday villages all over Britain and Hotels many places in Europe. All Musical Recordings on Tape and Vinyl were saved over the decades (45+ years to date) by Ron and (the late) Jean Rathbone, of Macclesfield, Cheshire. The Site is presented by Susan (nee Rathbone) and Anthony. Anthony was known as "Tony Gay" whilst working for Pontins as a Pianist. The Organ on the Singalongs is the now defunct GULBRANSEN brand, which was cutting edge technology at the time with it's simulated rotary effects. Video Contents are all approved by YouTube. MP3-WAV content is approved by Soundclick who kindly host the Site as a free service to Anthony who has used the Company since 2006 for mainly Piano Recordings and Compositions as a paid Subscriber. So do you have anything to share - i.e. Russ Lewis Showband or Christy Lee Band also employed during this period? Or any specific Band only recordings with the (late) Tony Strudwick Orchestra.
