Story behind the song
This song was composed during the first full week of May 2025. After a long walk with God over the past 70+ years, Ive come to realize that we love best when we love God first. Jesus loved us enough to die for us. But death could not hold him, because he was without sin. His body, like a grain of wheat (John 12:24) perished, but became the first fruits of those to rise from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:21-23). All who trust in Him for salvation will be resurrected to live forever with Him in Heaven. In composing the song, I just jotted down the words that were on my mind, and then came back in a day or two and composed the music.

Has He been the best love you ever had?
He wants us to love our family; but, if we love our family more than Him, we are not worthy of Him.
He wants us to love our friends; but, if we love our friends more than Him, we are not worthy of Him.
He even wants us to love our enemies.

To the cross, He sent His Son to die for our sins, so that we could live in Heaven forever with Him.
Christ paid the penalty for what would send us to Hell. Those who examine his life say, He has done all things well.
He has come to give us life abundantly.
He gives us everything that we need.
