Story behind the song
When I started this piece, I wanted to compose something that felt significantly different than any of the preceding Flights of Fancy jams. After the first session, I needed to name the file something, even if I changed it later. I listened to the first few seconds again and really liked the warmth of the guitar synth tones I had chosen, so Warm it was. As it developed, I focused on giving the piece life and dynamics but keeping it warm and somewhat ill-defined with less structure than its predecessors. At around 3:30 into the piece, I turn up the heat by musically simulating the building of a cozy campfire. Close your eyes and listen as the flames swirl and the logs crackle...until the flames slowly die at the end of the jam. Ahhh...
