Soul Pop, R&B
Ball in the House ROCKS! Incredible soloists, strong original material, and imaginative arrangements of great cover songs. Shimmering, out-and-out harmony meets modern pop/r&b sensibility. BitH is THE premiere all-male vocal band, going head-to-head with the best contemporary music in the country.
Story behind the song
Man, this track is certainly my baby. It's been though quite a few reincarnations before proudly settling into the dance, funk, hip-hop groove that is the title track of the latest BitH release.
I wrote Think About It a few years ago as a personal project, kind of in third person. As a writer, sometimes I get a lot of inspiration from an outside situation-a situation that I am not directly involved in, but am a witness to. A close friend had come to a bit of a crossroad in his life and was facing a tough decision. A decision that, I believe, we all face at some point. "Do I stay and work things out?" or "Do I let it all go and move on?" We spent an evening together at a local pub talking and really weighing the pros and cons of this situation that would later aid in his decision making. The more my buddy talked, the more I listened, the clearer it became to me. I went home that night and in about 10 minutes wrote Think About It. "If ya think about it you'll realize it ain't worth givin' up, up on us, just because it's getting' rough."
This song has been recorded a few times, in a few different ways, but the creative energy in the studio the day we recorded this was incredible. The vibe was perfect and I think we all (BitH & Gabe) knew that we were creating a jam. It was a lot of fun and I think it turned out pretty well :)

Lyrics
You've put in all these years and all this time
Given up so much of your life, believing this can work
You kept the hope, worked for growth
And just when things start looking low, you're ready to bow out
Come up with a better excuse for backing down
I don't want to hear that you, you're pullin' out
Everything will be alright, just give it time
Is this what you really want
Chorus:
If you think about it you'll realize it ain't worth
Giving up, up on us
Just because it's getting rough
If you think it over
And outweigh all the bad with the good
Like you should
You'll see that this ain't worth giving up
With everything that we've worked so hard for
You'd be a fool to through it all away
I can't understand how, suddenly, things can be totally rearranged
Come up with a better excuse for backing down
I don't want to hear that you, you're pullin' out
Everything will be alright, just give it time
Is this what you really want
Chorus:
If you think about it you'll realize it ain't worth
Giving up, up on us
Just because it's getting rough
If you think it over
And outweigh all the bad with the good
Like you should
You'll see that this ain't worth giving up
