Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A song about my two favourite 'Swinging London', fashion models...(icons if you like), Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton. "The guy behind the Rolleiflex" in the lyric, is none other than the enfant terrible of fashion photographers of the time, David Bailey.
Lyrics
Twiggy And The Shrimp (c) 2024 David A Briggs Slide guitar intro: With your eyes so blue and your long hair, and your red shiny plastic mack. You have the look of the moment, It's a look that says, "we don't look back". You're the new fashion icon, photographically posed to impress. Innocent and yet wistful, in your sky blue 'mini-dress'. A halo of golden sunbeams, sparkle around your head. but I'll never get to see you, like the guy with the Rolleiflex. So let's not talk of tomorrow, because today, the weekend starts here. Everyone's dressed in their finest, here, there and everywhere. A halo of golden sunbeams, sparkle around your head. but I'll never get to see you, like the guy behind the Rolleiflex. Oh Leslie, do you see me? I see you everywhere. In magazines and on posters, I can't but stop and stare. Guitar solo: So let's take a walk round the garden, it's perfumed, or so I've been told. It's peaceful and away from the madness, with you, I'll never grow old. A halo of golden sunbeams, sparkle around your head. but I'll never get to have you, like the guy with the Rolleiflex. Guitar solo and slow fade-out

Now there are a few names & references that shaped the 60's! I hear your own signature styling entwined with elements of Lindisfarne. Great track, full of nostalgia & good feelings.
