I wrote this song in 2003. It's totally emo and it took a couple days to record, which is actually a long time for me.

A Band in a Box, to put it simply.
Topher (Chris Harper) has been playing music since the age of 12, when he picked up his mom's old bass and started learning Blink-182 songs. In may of 2001, he got his first guitar. He picked it up quick, - probably because he'd always played bass like a guitar, - and eventually got better. While talent was becoming a factor in his playing, he bought more guitars and tried to experiment with different sounds, initially arriving at blends of emo, hardcore, and alternative. As for the demo CD soon to be available locally and on the internet, Topher stuck to more of the emotional feel, with hints of mainstream-sounding rock, and hardcore.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song in another band, but we never played it. I remember trying to record the drums when the lead singer brought over his double kick for me to use. I just remember messing up a lot cause he was rushing me so we could go hang out at the movies. The song is really emo. It was intended to be because I wrote it for a band that was intended to play that sort of music.
Lyrics
I know that everything's unfair. Just bottle it up. No one will ever know.Just hold it back, it doesn't matter. Just one question I have to ask you; Did everything go the way you planned? This question you refuse to answer... Don't take it out on me cause I know that everything's unfair. Just bottle it up. No one will ever know. Just hold it back, it doesn't matter. What you're feeling, what you say I did to you is not my fault. It's not like I'm the one who put the knife to your skin so let it go. I know that everything's unfair. Just bottle it up. No one will ever know. Just hold it back, it doesn't matter. And nothing's the same. Everything was better only a year ago. I know that everything's unfair. Just bottle it up. No one will ever know. Just hold it back, it doesn't matter. Nothing's the same. Everything was better only a year ago. And Nothing's the same. Everything was better... I see you, looking around the corner to see if I'm coming. Well I am so you best watch out.
