My dealings in beat making goes all the way back to 1985. Kurtis Mantronik was the main inspiration to start designing beats and other musical compositions.
The craft was adopted in 1985 after hearing 'Needle to the Groove', a track produced by Kurtis Mantronik. While at the gate of becoming a Hip Hop/Electro Funk/Techno-House DJ, beat making was essentially just another way to DJ through programming. At the same time never disregarding the turntable in the arsenal, or the sacred grooves of the vinyl that will be borrowed countless times in the creation process.
