I grew up in the DMV an area largely effected by drugs and gang violence. what we did have is a multicultural environment and everyone would fw each other. We have a distinct accent whether you from Baltimore, D.C, Gaithersburg, Rockville, PG county, or Virginia there's tons of good music to be found. I went from being scammed by big producers, living with roaches in an apartment with no electricity to making my own music and expressing my self.
