It started as a female fronted heavy rock project. Throughout the rehearsals they began experimenting with different styles, such as Funk, Disco, Electro...
Founded in 2019 as "Heathens". The musical influences of GoH rank from the 1960 to the 1990, using both vintage gear as Fender Rhodes of Hammond Organ as well as modern synthesizers. Their lyrics are rather about what's recently going on in the world, so better don't expect too much positivity. Story behind the song
David wrote this song back in 2008 for our band Madderwort when he saw a homeless man in the city, sitting on a cardboard box.
Lyrics
"Here on a cardboard box In a bus shelter of the town I drink my wine and try To hide my thornmade crown My back huerts and I feel worn out Like a punching bag, bought, used That has been hit by heavy weights And from time to time got abused This is the art of losing time It's rushing by undefined Maybe someday I'll take a ride And see what heaven has to hide My shoes say leave no traces My eyes don't see the stars With a past long left behind me I see the future as a farce Forget the faces of yesterday Forget the faces I used to know Still wonder how I got right here Time might show me a place to go Maybe you see me tomorrow You might even see me today Drink myself to sleep now Tomorrow will be another day."
