The Sunset of My Day
The sea is calm time is still
Clouds painted cross the sky
It’s a multi-hued display
As daylight waves goodbye
Nature in her majesty
A sight for all to see
I’m sitting on the sandy beach
The waves lap at my feet
I feel so very lucky--------------- Chorus
Fate has brought me here
I don’t have a worry
Friends are always near
I have a wife I treasure
The children are at play
I know I am blessed at
The sunset of my day
Sailboats in the distance
Floating oh so free
Fiddler crabs are scurrying
Running from the sea
Palm trees all around
Fronds rustle as they say
What a way to finish
Another gorgeous day
