Story behind the song
I am sick of observing people getting political power through giving free stuff that tax payers have to pay for and also by being soft on crime. While they build their voting constituencies via corruption they also enrich themselves. This song is about someone, at the top of the pack, who has done this for many years.
Lyrics
You will be my chosen ones. Doug Buche copr 2024 (capo on second fret) First Verse: C D G Em I am the one...the special one, you have been looking for. C F D I will make your life so much better that’s for sure. Dm G7 C7 A7 They say you’re illegal...but I don’t say that...its not a word I use. F G C E Come on in, would you like a smart phone...how about a new pair of shoes. Chorus: D G What do you want from me. E C When will you vote for me. F D What do you want for free. G E Tell me, I will make it be. Second Verse: Come right on in. It won’t be a sin...I will grant you absolution You’ll have amnesty...for you it will be free...that is my final solution. I will split your red sea. Then you can vote for me. I will be your modern day moses. I own the promised land. C’mon in man. You will be my ones chosen. Repeat Chorus: Third Verse: Wanna new i phone, a flat screen T.V. you don’t have to say. Walk into any store you want...pick them on up...you don’t have to pay. If some LEO fool tries to put you in jail. You will be out before he gets home. He’ll be a snail. But remember you don’t have to lose...you just need to choose. Bridge: Am E Am E If you choose me. I will choose you. You will be the chosen ones. Am F G If you choose me. You will never lose. You will be my chosen ones. Fourth Verse: Don’t worry about your college loans, stop your groans, you don’t have to pay. They are like free smart phones, if you pick the right slot, the right slot on election day. Show me your grateful and give me your vote for all of the years to come... Don’t forget to remember where your loan forgiveness came from. Final Verse: Some people say there is a Chinese threat...like a hidden enemy. But they always treated me so very nice and all of my family. When it comes to money, I am fond of the Chinese won...I am a fan. My true enemies are coal, oil and gas and worst of all...the extremist white man. Final Bridge and ending: C F Some people think I won’t be around. E F They think I can’t think...they think I’m a clown. C E F E But with me you don’t have to lose...you just need to choose. F E C’mon man you just need to choose! Choose me...please...please. Choose me.
