Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
The rich get richer and richer by very unscrupulous means. It's plain for all to see that they really don't care a damn about who they trample on in their quest to amass even more money. The problem is, the members of the current UK government are firmly on their side.
Lyrics
Desolation Street (c) David A Briggs 2024 Oh watch the rain, down here on Desolation Street. amid all the chaos, the broken glass and concrete. Discarded bottles and cans, there's no regeneration plans. High up in their ivory towers, they smile and rub their hands, ... they smile and rub their hands. But the word down on the street, yes, down here on Desolation Street, (is) "we're sinking into the muddy water, we're already in too deep". So, what can be done? there's no rhyme or reason, why it's been done. In another brighter world, we'd be having fun, we should be having fun. With their off-shore bank account, luxury limousines, that they can't do without. Sipping champagne, eating canapes, while others have to struggle on the minimum wage. guitar solo #1: Oh watch the rain, down here on Desolation Street. High up in their ivory towers, they smile and rub their hands, ... they smile and rub their hands. guitar solo #2: we're already in too deep we're already in too deep we're already in too deep Discarded bottles and cans, there's no regeneration plans. High up in their ivory towers, they smile and rub their hands, outro:
